Velora began with one woman’s search for a bra that could support a fuller bust without digging, slipping or asking her to sacrifice how she wanted to feel.
DISCOVER OUR BEGINNING
At 46, Austin-based founder Lauren Hayes found that the bras she had relied on no longer worked with her body. As a fuller-busted woman, she knew the familiar trade-off all too well: straps that left painful marks, bands that rolled or shifted, cups that compressed instead of supporting, and beautiful styles that simply were not designed with her shape in mind.
She did not want more padding, more bulk or another bra to endure until the end of the day. She wanted thoughtful support, a natural shape and the quiet confidence of lingerie that stayed in place. Drawing on years spent working with women in fashion retail, Lauren began speaking to customers in their forties, fifties and beyond. Their stories sounded just like hers. When she could not find the right solution, she decided to build it. That shared frustration became Velora.
I didn’t create Velora to change women’s bodies. I created it because our lingerie should understand the bodies we already have — and support us beautifully through every chapter.
